Dave Shipman is the man resposible for this terrific fly, originally used on large stillwaters, and designed to imitate a buzzer in its final stages of hatching it is an excellent pattern when chironomids can be seen, fished ginked up and static on a floating line, takes can be savage so watch out, also a very useful fly on rivers.
